Infrastructure decisions with public consequences.

Consulting for government organizations, public investment teams and government-backed funds that need a clear view of technical feasibility, delivery dependencies and long-term operating requirements.

A procurement specification or investment proposal describes an intended future. The technical task is to test the path to that future: what must change, what must keep working and who will own the result.

Make the requirements testable.

Translate service needs into architecture and operating requirements. Examine availability objectives, data flows, integration points and the evidence a supplier should provide at acceptance.

Review the program beneath the presentation.

Assess the proposed topology, migration sequence and dependencies on existing systems. Identify assumptions about access, staffing and third parties that could affect delivery or continuity.

Understand ownership beyond launch.

Consider maintenance, observability, recovery, skills transfer and supplier exit. Evaluate where technical choices could create avoidable dependence or restrict future procurement options.

Support public investment scrutiny.

For government-backed funds, examine the technical basis of infrastructure proposals: workload assumptions, operating needs, scaling constraints and the resources required to maintain the asset.

A practical review brief

Agree the decision to be supported, available evidence, confidentiality arrangements and review boundaries. An engagement can focus on requirements review, architecture assessment or a prioritized roadmap. Legal, procurement and regulatory determinations remain with the appropriately appointed advisers.
